By booking a tour or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
Please read them carefully before confirming your trip.
1. GENERAL TERMS
- Samten Phuentshog Yoesel Travel is a licensed and registered Bhutanese tour operator.
- All tours are operated according to Bhutan’s tourism laws, policies, and regulations set by the Department of Tourism (DoT).
- By booking with us, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
2. BOOKING & RESERVATION
2.1 Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed when:
- You provide your passport copy
- You agree to your final itinerary
- A deposit or full payment is received (depending on your booking type)
2.2 Personal Details
Travelers must provide correct:
- Passport details
- Flight details
- Travel dates
- Special requirements (if any)
Incorrect information may cause delays or visa issues.
3. PAYMENT POLICY
3.1 Payment Requirements
- Full payment is required for visa processing.
- Payments must be made via bank transfer or other approved payment methods.
3.2 Tour Cost Includes
- Bhutan Visa & processing
- Accommodation (standard or as agreed)
- All meals
- Licensed guide
- Private vehicle & driver
- Entrance fees
- Bhutan Sustainable Development Fee (if included in your quote)
- Airport transfers
3.3 Tour Cost Excludes
- International flight tickets
- Travel insurance
- Personal expenses
- Drinks, snacks, laundry
- Tips (optional but appreciated)
- SDF if not included in the package
- Anything not mentioned in “tour cost includes”
4. CANCELLATION POLICY
4.1 Guest-Initiated Cancellation
The following charges apply:
- 30+ days before arrival: 20% of total cost
- 15–30 days before arrival: 50% of total cost
- Less than 15 days: 100% of total cost
- No-shows: No refund
4.2 Tour Postponement
Postponements are allowed based on availability and airline schedules. Charges may apply.
4.3 Flight Cancellations
Airlines have separate cancellation policies.
We assist, but final decisions depend on the airline.
5. VISA & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- A Bhutan visa is required for all international travelers except Indian citizens.
- We process the visa after receiving your passport copy and full payment.
- The Department of Tourism has full authority to accept or reject visa applications.
(We have no control over final approvals.) - Travelers must meet health and travel regulations at the time of entry.
6. TRAVEL INSURANCE
All guests must have valid travel insurance covering:
- Medical emergencies
- Evacuation
- Trip cancellations
- Baggage loss
We are not responsible for incidents not covered by your insurance.
7. ITINERARY CHANGES
7.1 Guest-Requested Changes
We try our best to accommodate changes, but:
- Extra charges may apply
- Some changes may not be possible during peak seasons
7.2 Company-Requested Changes
We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to:
- Weather
- Road conditions
- Safety concerns
- Government restrictions
- Unexpected local events
Any changes will be made with safety and guest experience in mind.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Samten Phuentshog Yoesel Travel is not responsible for:
- Delays caused by flights
- Lost or delayed luggage
- Natural disasters, strikes, or weather-related issues
- Accidents occurring during activities not organized by us
- Traveler negligence
- Any costs resulting from events beyond our control
We ensure safety and professionalism but cannot guarantee circumstances outside our authority.
9. GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
Guests must:
- Follow Bhutan’s laws and cultural guidelines
- Respect sacred sites and local customs
- Follow safety instructions from guides
- Provide accurate travel details
- Ensure their passports are valid for at least 6 months
Misconduct or unsafe behavior may result in termination of services without refund.
10. HEALTH & FITNESS
Some tours include hikes, altitude exposure, or long drives.
Travelers must ensure they are medically fit to participate.
We must be informed of:
- Medical conditions
- Allergies
- Dietary needs
- Special assistance required
11. COMPLAINTS & FEEDBACK
If you face any issues during your trip:
- Notify your guide or our office immediately
We will try to resolve it as quickly as possible.
12. PRIVACY POLICY
We protect your personal information and only use it for:
- Visa processing
- Tour arrangements
- Required government documentation
- Essential communication
We never sell or misuse your information.

13. GOVERNING LAW
